Whats the fuss about, can't we have a simple option allowing those that want to opt in for public health care to have a deduction taken from their salary by the federal government and provide them with free health care via doctors and surgeons in training? It could be easily organized through every Medical University in the country and the cooperation of all employers nation wide!
More importantly, when did Americans become such frightened cowards? it seems everyone that is apposed a public option don't even understand why, all they know is that they are told to be worried and scared of it, and so they are! For G-D sake, open your minds and start thinking for yourself! Of-course the current health care system would want to scare you, just like all the oil companies are against renewable energy, it would destroy their stronghold and force them to stop taking advantage of us with their outrageous costs and insufficient services.
I lived in Europe for 5 years and can honestly say that their public health care system (NHS) is no worse or better than our private system here in America, the only difference is that everyone there is entitled to it and it doesn't cost them a dime! Sure, employees pay slightly higher taxes due to NHS contributions but, take away the un-constitutional taxes we pay here and there is plenty of margin for public health care contributions!
Just a random thought, really, think about it!
